At the Institute of Economics held a conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic

Ph.D. in Economics, Seyfaddin Samandarov made a report on "Economic Reforms in Azerbaijan Democratic Republic"

 On December 27, 2017, at the Institute of Economics ANAS held a scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR). We should note that the following event took place in accordance with the Plan of Action of the Presidium, ANAS on the basis of Presidential Decree on 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic 

dated on May 16, 2017.
Opening the conference, Director of the Institute of Economics, Doctor of Economics, Professor Nazim Muzaffarli noted that the creation of the ADR opened the most glorious page in our history and the importance of studying the ADR's economy from the scientific point of view, and the Institute of Economics played an important role in this area.
Then, the leading researcher at the Institute of Economics, Ph.D. in Economics, Seyfaddin Samandarov made a report on "Economic Reforms in the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic". He talked about the founding of the ADR, proclaiming the independence of Azerbaijan in Tbilisi on May 28, 1918, the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, the liberation of the Caucasus Islamic Army, which leaded by Nuri Pasha from the occupation of Armenian-Bolshevik, the composition of the ADR government, spoke about the government's move from Tbilisi to Ganja, then to Baku, as well as measures taken in the field of state building in the short run. The activities of the Azerbaijani parliament, the army of refugees arisen as a result of Armenian aggression and the government's policy in this area, and measures taken to strengthen the economic independence of the state were brought to the attention of the conference participants.
Speakers at the conference, Professor Isa Aliyev, Ph.D. in Economics Samira Abasova, Agil Asadov, Ilkin Sultanli, Jalil Guliyev, Tanriverdi Pasha, Chingiz Bakhish, emphasized the importance of intellectuals of that era in the creation of the ADR in terms of our statehood history. They noted that the period of ADR should be further explored and delivered to future generations (economics.com.az).
